Hello!

I’m Julie of MJD. I have over 15+ years of major agency and direct brand experience as a digital creative. I am a hands-on designer and creative director leading teams to measured successes for a wide variety of clients, all with an underlying business-minded strategy, including Harley-Davidson, Warner Brothers, Disney, Nintendo, Kraft Foods, and Delta Airlines. 

I bring outstanding leadership skills, team scaling expertise, concept-to-completion talents, and a hands-on work ethic. I have taken maximum advantage of my time in this constantly evolving industry and look forward to sharing my talents with a flourishing team.

Katerra is a Softbank-funded disruptive innovator that is transforming the construction industry through technology—every process and every product. With a unique approach combined with an integrated end-to-end process.

  • In-house, hands-on, senior creative lead overseeing all creative design and brand management work

  • Lead designer executing full channel experiences to grow and establish the creative direction for a start-up company. Designing for web (UX/UI), touchscreen, traditional print, environmental, global trade shows, and packaging design

Deloitte Digital connects creativity with technology for business—bringing empathy, ideas, and experiences into all that they do. 

Clients: Deloitte, Bose, US Cellular, Coca-Cola, Disney, and Warner Brothers.

  • Studio lead working with a variety of diverse consultants across a wide product field helping to define their business needs and create the most creative digital solutions for their specific issues

  • Creative director on projects from conception to completion including reviewing and helping define project plans, budgets, design concepts, and finished final deliverables

  • Developed the creative team internally and managed external vendors

  • In just under 2 years, executed over 30+ digital products increasing profits by over +2 million dollars within the Seattle studio


Epsilon Marketing // Oct 2014 – Jul 2015 // Creative Director

Epsilon helps the world’s top brands transform customer experiences into meaningful, human experiences that drive results. 

Clients: KitchenAid, Wrigley, and Kraft.

  • Led creative campaign development cycle - project inception, pitch delivery, creative execution through final development and delivery

  • Directed weekly photo and video shoots, and ran pre-production kick-offs, photographers, videographers, and stylists

  • Responsible for hiring and managing internal creative staff

  • Led creative direction on a multi-million dollar pitch for one of the company’s largest clients.


VSA Partners // Nov 2012 – Oct 2014 // Associate Creative Director

VSA partners with businesses, and strategic and creative leaders who seek a higher level of effectiveness for their brands, marketing, and communications. 

Clients: Kraft Beverages, Bison Council, Harley-Davidson, and Zynga.

  • Creative leader for production staff, photographers, illustrators, animators, and other vendors related to digital projects

  • Head creative for the first-ever multi-player version of Words with Friends

  • Increased Kraft Beverage sales for 3 of Kraft’s hero beverages (Kool-Aid, Countrytime Lemonade, and Crystal Light) by 35%


Band Digital, Inc. // May 2009 – Aug 2012 // Creative Director + Aug 2008 – May 2009 // Associate Creative Director

Band Digital is an independent, industry-leading Digital Connection Agency, focused on crafting interactions that inject meaning, interest, and emotion into an audience’s experience with a brand. 

Clients: Harley-Davidson, SC Johnson, Redbox, Quaker, and Fredericks of Hollywood

  • Developed and exercised strong presentation skills for both internal and client-facing team members, ranging from brand managers to CMO’s

  • Managed a team of up to 15+ creatives including designers, copywriters, art directors, associate creative directors, and occasionally UX

  • Responsible for creative direction and oversight on national and local levels for clients including Harley-Davidson, Frederick’s of Hollywood, SC Johnson, Redbox, and Quaker

  • Lead creative campaign development from project inception through to final execution

  • Directed a variety of Harley-Davidson online marketing initiatives, including H-D’s Corporate and Museum sites, Model Year release for 2010 and 2011, V-Rod Muscle promotional site, H-D Women Riders, Young Adults (Dark Custom), Hispanic and African American Outreach initiatives, and Corporate Email communications

Part of Publicis Communications with headquarters in Chicago, Leo Burnett Worldwide is one of the world’s largest agency networks with 85 offices and more than 8,000 employees.
